Continental Watch Co. Pocket Watch Movement, No. 37135, measures approximately 35 mm. I do not know if the watch will run, I cannot wind it. The movement is marked with the "J.G." Lyre symbol logo (Julien Gallet) (see the photos.)
I do not know that much about the movement. I think it may be a hard one to find and might be worth restoring. I did find some info on the movement.
Gallet & Cie.
This company was founded by Julien Gallet in 1826. It later passed to his two sons, one of whom was Leon L. Gallet (1832-1899) who renamed the company Leon Gallet. As early as 1864 they had started the New York Branch and had established a relationship with Jules Racine, New York. Racine was still importing Gallet watches in 1979.
Leon Gallet retired in 1883 and the company passed to his sons. After Leon's death the company name was changed to Gallet & Cie. by 1900 but it was changed again in 1907 to Gallet & Cie, Fabrique Electra. There was another slight modification to this in 1913 when it became Fabrique D'Horlogerie Electra Gallet & Sie SA.
Racine was a name originally used by ‘Racine Fabricant d’Horlogerie, Rue de Rhone, Geneva in 1828. It was later a trade name used by Gallet & Co, S.A. The company has had several other small changes to the name in company listings up to and including 1979 when it was listed as Gallet Guinand.
Trade Marks and Brand Names used. (with dates where known).
